This show has been an annual event for quite a few years now, but I’ve never been before, either as a visitor or an exhibitor. This year’s event took place on 30th and 31st August 2026.
Set in the grounds of a Large stately home, there’s a huge amount of room, so there’s practically no limit on the number of cars that can exhibit.
We attended on the Sunday (30th), and the forecast was wet weather, but thankfully this didn’t materialise and neither was it too hot, so it was a perfect day for a car show.
There were a huge number of exhibits to look at, so many that I just couldn’t choose a favourite! There was a great turnout of Minis, MGs and Triumphs, as you might expect, along with plenty of German cars and quite a lot of American metal.
There were some pretty impressive examples of classic Fords and Vauxhalls. I never knew there were so many Ford Granadas left on the road. It was like being in an old episode of the Sweeney!
This was a leisurely 20 minute trip down the motorway for us, but some people had come from considerably further away.
Even among some extremely rare and valuable cars, some worth as much as a house, my humble MG didn’t disgrace itself and still looked great, but then I would say that, wouldn’t I?!
Got myself a great souvenir, too. That’ll look good on the wall of my home bar!
